We aim to provide, with like-minded organisations, opportunities for disadvantaged young people in the UK to experience the life-time rewards of golf as a sport.
Initiatives

EDGA: Project 250
In partnership with EDGA, Project 250 introduces 250 children and young adults with disabilities to golf. Launched in Coventry, the pilot promotes inclusivity through tailored coaching, led by Johnny Reay and Leah Roelich from EDGA. Supported by KJRF funding, the programme progresses from community-based sessions to club integration, paving the way for a national rollout.
Sport for All UK: Koalaa Golf Tool
In partnership with Sport for All UK Foundation CIO, KJRF is introducing golf to children with upper body limb differences across the UK. The programme provides access to free Koalaa prosthetics and adaptive golf tools, along with expert coach education. With nine “Try Golf” days and ongoing golf sessions, it empowers over 100 children annually, fostering confidence, inclusion, and access to the game of golf.

Dryvebox UK
The Kate & Justin Rose Foundation has partnered with Dryvebox UK to deliver a mobile golf simulator experience to schools in inner-city areas across the UK. The project delivers FREE golf sessions to these schools – all tuition and equipment is provided – allowing the children to experience real golf and play a range of exciting games using the interactive screen and putting mat. This initiative delivers golf directly to schools and combines real golf equipment with immersive technology to create accessible, engaging opportunities for children to try the sport.
Essendon 24: Knightsfield School
KJRF and Essendon Country Club are bringing golf to hearing-impaired students from Knightsfield School. Starting with 24 participants, the programme offers tailored coaching, on-course experiences, and inclusive support. With KJRF funding for 2025, it aims to expand, fostering a welcoming golf community for more students.

JOLF Mid Sussex Nurture Project
The Kate & Justin Rose Foundation is supporting JOLF to deliver adapted golf sessions to children with SEND and additional needs in schools across Mid Sussex. Using specially designed equipment and a “Play First” approach, the project creates calm, inclusive environments for children to explore golf at their own pace. Delivered in school settings and local community hubs, the sessions support personal development, confidence, and social connection, ensuring children who might not otherwise access golf get the chance to play.
Women in Golf Awards Bursary Scheme
In partnership with the Women in Golf Awards, we are supporting a new bursary scheme for women under the age of 21 to access education and professional development opportunities to progress their career in golf. Applications to the fund can be made twice annually through the Women in Golf Awards website (February 1st – April 30th and Sept 1st – November 30th). Applications to the bursary, which totals £10,000 per annum, can be made for any continual professional development courses run by golf’s governing bodies, or for courses delivered by their educational providers. Applications for other activities that progress women’s careers in golf will also be considered.
